Can an examiner verify a document without contacting LedgerSign?

Yes. They hash the PDF with SHA-256, compare it with the hash on the Certificate of Completion, and open the transaction id on HashScan to read the same hash from the Hedera ledger. Our free verify tool runs all three steps in the browser without an account.

Is the document itself stored on the blockchain?

No. The PDF stays in encrypted storage. What is written to the Hedera Consensus Service is an anchor message carrying the document hash and the signing metadata for that completion, and the transaction is public. The document contents are never published.

Can completed documents flow into our imaging or core system?

Yes. Webhooks deliver completion, decline, and expiry events as they happen, and the REST API returns the signed PDF, the audit trail, and the certificate. Both are included from the Business plan. Banks and credit unions running digital account opening on Valiify can use the deeper LedgerSign + Valiify Core integration, which writes signed documents back to the core banking platform.
